    personally I can talk about the middle east , and in the last 3 months or so I saw a lot of interest in crypto currency of course that was due media highlighting bitcoin price from time to time
    some countries banned it totally like Morocco , but the surprise was that the Arab Gulf countries are showing real interest in it and they said that their citizens are free to trade crypto currencies
    even Saudi Arabia is not fighting bitcoin , but they are asking for proof of income as I heard just so they can " make sure " that the money aren't coming from illegal ways

    so in general governments are surfing the wave here in my area , some governments haven't said a word though which makes it even better IMO  Grin

    Well the whole point of governments is to help society protect itself or whatever. Some bullshit like that, so in countries where people are open minded, it'll be accepted. If the sleazy politicians think it'll just make them lose the next vote, they'll be against it. They're all a fickle bunch of blowhards.

    Here in the Philippines, government said that bitcoin is not legit or not advisable to use. They are just scared if more people invest in bitcoin rather than banks.

    some governments are afraid of crypto currencies and they should because if all goes well this could change the entire world financial system and on the other hand some are actually liking and promoting the crypto currency world because of the idea behind it  and we will just have to watch and see what will in the next few months maybe years

    I think many countries will ban bitcoin in 2018 because many countries are already discussing about bitcoin growth like in India.Bangladesh already banned bitcoin if caught using bitcoins then they will be punished with jail.
    So it may affect the growth of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
