I tried Ethex India as well but it takes four weeks for KYC. I think 4 weeks is very long time and I am not comfortable waiting for such a long duration. I think I will go the option of Binance which does not ask for KYC below 2 BTC daily withdrawal.

I think Zebpay is most  reliable exchange in india. Zebpay is now  upgraded its plateform to buy sell Ethereum, Dash, Ripple,  bitcoin cash

zebpay has added the support for eth so you can directly buy or sell from them,you can also try out international exchange for btc to eth conversion or just use instant converter such as shapeshift,etc to get instant eth. koinex has gain quite a reputation in few months but still zebpay is more trustable.
