So the trading took off, great news. I wonder who are selling their coins? Early miners? Supply/demand defines the asking price and it will be interesting to see where it goes over the next few days.

I have never understood why people do this.

A good friend of mine sold his ETH in 2016, he didnt even need the money, today those coins would be worth around $450k.

it's quite easy to redo the strategy after ... I have read that > 90% of traders loose money, whatever they say...

I have always been a HODLR and it has paid off. The Moon coin back in 14 was good to me, I only keep 10% of my coins across several exchanges. Less risk.

Some coins are not really good to HODL, in recent coins I mined, I only like RACE & BTX.

I also spread my coins in several exchange to mitigate the risk
