In the new 2018 budget of India under the Modi government, it is said that measures will be taken to control the spread of cryptocurrencies in India.
Is it good or bad? Comments.

https://techcrunch.com/2018/02/03/psa-no-india-hasnt-banned-bitcoin-but-its-still-talking-tough-on-crypto/Its more of a grey area than you think, not banned. Cryptocurrency is not controlled yet, a commission was setup back in April 2017, announced by Arun Jaitley in August 2017, that would look into what should be done with cryptocurrency in India. It will probably be taxed. No news has come up since then, just ministers saying investing is not recommended, and this has damaged the adoption of bitcoin and probably also affected its price in a major way.
I don't see how it could be banned by any country, seeing as it has a decentralized nature, but it will probably be taxed, which is not good news anyways.
