I am glad there is a date for the fork and i love the team but I must tell you your wallets and the dev that does them is the worse I have used.
Instead of just updating your team provides a new wallet. Each new wallet has terrible issues and bugs. Once they are FINALLY resolved they issue a new wallet. Instead of just issuing an update for the existing wallet it is a new wallet. Every wallet has issues updating. This new wallet says "Loading block index..." and will not open. So I cannot get to my Hexx coins. They are stuck on my old wallet which can not update after 5 weeks ago. It is not safe to send or receive with a wallet that is not current on the blockchain. And your new wallet will not load or open.
I have been with Hexx since it was 28 cents and before the new team. This issue has NEVER been addressed. EVER. Every time it is the same thing. So I am going to keep posting this until the DEV releases ONE FINAL wallet that can be upgraded with no issues and stops the nonsense with having to replace with a new wallet every month or two. I cannot even get the wallet to close...it is locked on my PC, and my laptop. It is a mess. And I have posted this on GitHub and on the chat. And I have the old wallet closed. So someone please advise me why I have to keep upgrading wallets and where I can simply store my coins securely without this continued nonsense PLEASE.
Like I said, love the team otherwise...but this is getting very old. I am not alone on this. Several others have posted about this. It is time this issue be addressed NOW.

I feel sad you have so many wallet "issues". For example if we add new features it is common to update the wallet. Did you actually updated to the latest wallet ( 4.0.3.8 )?

Close/Quit local wallet.
Navigate to your hexxcoin/application folder.
(Windows) -> C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\hexxcoin
(Mac) ->Users/Username/Library/Application Support/hexxcoin
(Unix) ->.hexxcoin
Remove/delete every folder and files EXCEPT wallet.dat (and xnode.conf if you have an Xnode).
Download the latest chainfiles ->

Restart your wallet
If wallet isnt syncing after a while, you probably dont have enough connections, add some nodes manually to increase connections.
Go to
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/hxx/#!network and click on node list (/Hexx:4.0.3.8/)
Add those ips to your console (line for line): help -> debug -> console
Command is: addnode IP:29100 add
Example -> addnode 81.171.19.244:29100 add
After these steps wallet should be working fine. Good luck!
