Blockchain is to be used by the Bank of England in the new payment system and the Central Bank of the UK has announced the launch of work to use Distributed Ledger Technology to improve the transfer system.

RTGS are special payment systems in which transfers between banks take place in 'real time'. Transactions are settled immediately after the order is placed and are not linked to any other transactions carried out at the same time. This system is typically used for high-value transactions that require immediate transfer and availability of funds.
The problem of RTGS is the high costs and amount requirements below which orders are not executed. For this reason, the transactions carried out through this system are currently used only by the bank's central offices and by economic operators making large-value payments.

Operating system provider and developer of Blockchain-oriented electronics Sirin Labs has found a manufacturer of mobile devices with whom it intends to create a smartphone dedicated to this technology. FIH Mobile, part of the Foxconn Technology Group, has confirmed that it will help create a blockchain phone called Finney. Foxconn is a global electronics supplier based in Taiwan. It is one of the largest employers in the world. In addition, its main customers include Cisco, Huawei, Google, Amazon and  Apple.
