I agree with you to some extent. Haters are the ones who do not WANT to believe bitcoin and they think rather force others to think that bitcoin will never rise up again rubbish about crypto coins.  However, there is another category of holders who are feeling down at the moment. I am talking about those who have zero experience. They do not understand the bitcoin and blockchain technology very well. Indeed, they lose confidence in this coin and regret later.

The world came to know about the existence of blockchain technology through bitcoin. It is the first ever crypto currency and all other cryptos are built after bitcoin came into existance. These cryptos are still existing in the market because bitcoin exists. That is the reason why they are called altcoins.

I too believe that bitcoin will be replaced by an worthy cryptocurrency in future once all bitcoins are mined and ETH looks like an worthy contender because of its smart contract utility. But I am also sure that current generation will not be alive to see that happening.

no bitcoin is not supposed to do any of that. it is not a key to anything. bitcoin is just a currency, or a tool and tools don't do the same thing for everyone. it depends on how that person uses that tool that can determine what will their future hold.
you can be an irrational investor and lose money by investing in bitcoin or you can use your head and become multi millionaires like many who have done it already like Winkelvos twins or the infamous Roger Ver.

I have to disagree on the second post, I don't think that bitcoin will be replaced by any other coin. The reasons for this have been discussed for this many times and I think the most easiest reason fro this one is its popularity and 24 hours volume that keep increasing day by day. No matter what it mostly grows as the time is passing.

ETH will surpass the market capitalism? Yes I think that market cap will be replaced by ETH but the prices? I dont think that they will be overcome. Market cap is not always responsible for the value but many other factors.

Bitcoin probably has the largest number of investors and greatest trust amongst all cryptos. For another coin to beat it the coin would need to pull those investors but to do that there would need to be a reason.
