Altcoin is created because they have their own project to prove, or they beleived that they are much better than bitcoin, as we all know most of the altcoin has a much better transaction fee and much faster rather than bitcoin.

Altcoins exist to diversify and provide new features to the original Bitcoin core, there are different blockchains for differing option, be they medical, game assets, public records and many more.

There is always volatility, whether this is in the BTC and ALT markets, oil, gas, gold and even wheat, It's a prospectors and traders world we are all in now.

Regarding the projects, and its objectives, there is many project has not any problems to resolve and no meaning of being in the existence.

Altcoins as a substitute with bitcoin is a fair way of circulating cryptocurrencies. Take note that even with the real currencies, it varies. This is simply because this should not supposed to be monopolized by a single currency. Another altcoin should go along with it to provide balance in the cryptomarket. This is my opinion.

if you are saying why altcoin exist, it means you are automaticallysaying why Ethereum, why Bitcoin Cash etc etc. bitcoin has it is purpose, that is why it came into exist, while it purpose is been neglected, Bitcoin Cash came into exist to correct some of these error.
every altcoin has it unique purpose of been into existence just like bitcoin. and the existence of altcoins has nothing to do with the bitcoin market fluctuation. this is one thing every decentralize currency will always experience "Market Fluctuation"
