I don't think so. Waves Platform AG is Swiss, has offices in locations around the World, including Holland, UK, USA and Moscow.
Most of the 'heavy lifting' core development is done by the SCALA devs in Moscow - probably the best
untapped location for bringing on programming talent in crypto.
Maybe, the perceived distance from places like Silicon Valley(US) and Silicon Roundabout(UK), as well as the, until fairly recently, lack of connections to Social Media hypsters made Waves a sleeping giant - but, believe me, It will wake!
