Has it been discussed how expensive an RFID chip will be?
After all, they want to put these chips in the packages so that we can monitor the transport routes and temperature live
They range in cost from a few cents to dollars depending on volume, Id imagine they will use unified monitors like container monitoring to save cost Id imagine or pallet based rfids to monitor
Well good things don't come cheap, they tend to come with a cost and from the AMA discussion yesterday, the CEO was really passionate about the whole project, so i guess going for such to make them stand out from the crowd, isn't much of a big deal to him as customer satisfaction seems to be his top priority, it was really an interesting session
