 I was recently introduced to this project by a friend of me. Was initially confused the way he was persisted about it, more of an exaggeration to me, but when I slid into the site and read about it, I saw a good reason to get down with it. And as such, I downloaded the App as well.

Wemark has competitors that are going after other types of digital content and others like Photochain, Kodakcoin and others in the image space. Getty and Shutterstock  are the main competitors of Wemark.  After a very extensive research Wemark has done when making the decision to offer 85%, Wemark realized it's just not sustainable to charge 5%. Photographers will be happy to join either if they're paying 5% or 15%, but they will expect to get meaningful sales. Based on many industry experts, including Wemark’s advisors, 5% will not be enough to maintain a working marketplace, while investing on marketing and business development, and still building a business that makes sense financially. There's a right balance between how much creators get and how much goes for distribution. Creators should much more than the 15% they get today, but 5% just wouldn't be enough for Photochain and alikes to get them the kind of distribution they are expecting.

the biggest question is just how much to such a market that there is now need such solutions. it is necessary to understand that it is not possible to quickly unleash your organization and without this it will be impossible to translate everything into money. investors are particularly large in such projects are not and come. everyone wants money here and now.

Wemark is building a blockchain-based marketplace for digital content and its a decent size market at $4B. Good luck guys.
