    I think the best thing to happen to this coin is that it has a new set of devs behind it. Things started to fall through with this coin. All it needs is a dev team that cares and it's golden.

    I agree. There are plenty of people who watched the ship go down with the greedy original devs and probably had been forming an idea of how they would have handled this better to see it last.

    The bottom line is this: Coinyecoin still has great media attention (there's no denying this) and ANY, I mean ANY developments will most likely make their rounds on news outlets and Twitter. How many other of the 100 new coins this past month can say that? It still has TREMENDOUS leverage on other coins. And finally, we are underestimating people's willingness to forgive. If a new set of devs make it clear they are now running the show with better interests at heart, people will start paying attention again.

    Honestly guys, screw the devs.  We have coinye-exchange.com coming up this week, we're working on a twitter and reddit tipbot, more gambling things on the way, the only thing the dev really did was try to hype it.  And guess what?  We don't need anyone to hype it, Kanye keeps making that happen for us.  No other coin has had this kind of free publicity.

    So look, there's not going to be any magical coin that you can mine a metric shit fuck ton of and then dump for millions of dollars, because everyone else is doing the same thing  - it's always been up to the community to get things out there to make this shit take off.  No one magically made DOGE be in demand.  If we pull this shit together, new devs, and stronger community support can really make a huge difference.

    Quite frankly, if the community doesn't try to capitalize on all this free press, it'd be a singular opportunity lost.

    Yep. You nailed it. Anyone sitting around who has been waiting to help out a cryptocurrency but hasn't yet should take the opportunity to utilize this one. If they can do it right or help out in any way, it'll be tremendously popular and they'll get rewarded for their time.

    Look in the comments section. People are buying them as a JOKE for 0.42BTCmillion at http://www.coinyecoin.com/. If we have a real exchange for this where people actually can buy them easily, this will skyrocket just from the sheer number of people buying it for the lolz.

    Priority number 1 should be to get this on cryptsy. The publicity is enough at this point. If we get this on cryptsy, it will shoot up.

    The list of things to do:

    1. Get it on cryptsy
    2. Get that stupid redirect loop fixed on coinyeco.in (Keyser i'm talking to you)
    3. Get coinye-exchange up and running

    People will only buy and bring the price up if they know WHERE. Exchanges should be the one and only goal of this coin.

    The original stated intent of this coin was easy entry for the masses. I assume it was to be used for online "content commerce" (tipping, rewards, cudos etc), gaming sites, day trading and entry level mining.

    What does this coin need to achieve that?

    an exchange - one is coming, we need to work on another
    a tipping bot - needs to be built
    continued media coverage - community/dev need to keep it up
    giveaways
    consistent messaging (updates, recruiting, success, mission statement) from the devs or the community
    the easy miner still important - needs to be built


    So the value in this coin from from access to the masses, use in social media context, gaming, trading and casual (entry level) mining.

    Additionally there is sweet message of deconstructing currency, commuinty developed value, freedom of content, and the fight to survive in the face of monied interests (ie Brad).

    I will chip in (with giveaways for example) but need to hear from whomever takes over and is driving this thing.
