How much a new coin is worth is not based on difficulty. It seems the key marker is how much it is premined. The community and exchanges will never allow a coin start at a certain value where the premined coins are worth millions of millions of dollars. Not even hundred thousands of dollars.
Thats why a coin that has a rather big premine AND low block rewards can only go down. Like EAC.
I am not talking down DGB but this is how it is.
This is why I'm hard-pressed to understand why people would be putting their money into coins like Quark. when it is all pre-mined from the development team. DigiBytes Dev Team have only pre-mined %0.5 in TOTAL, with %0.25 percent going to the community, and keeping %0.25 for themselves. But, this is understandable, as they are entitled to a control stake in their own project. I believe this has been the fairest of the coins launched so far, and price will reflect that come market time.
