Also, by my calculations, when adding together the network hashrates for the 5 algorithms (and, of course, adjusting them to the same scrypt or SHA-256 equilvalents),
DigiByte has the 6th highest total network hashrate! (And even if I'm off by a little, DGB is certainly in the top 10!)
If that, coupled with the active community here on this board, is any indication of what is "decentralized and widely distributed", then, by those two measures, DigiByte must definitely be doing all the right things!
