I have "delicate sensibilities" because I'd like to see the Academy Awards select
some films featuring black themes that aren't about them being victims or dimwits that need the help of charitable white people to succeed? I'm glad you can enjoy all these movies, but I don't think that Hollywood promoting the idea that blacks are second class citizens is healthy for anyone.
You know, slavery sucks and it's still even practiced in parts of Africa to this day (not by white people, incredibly enough!) but nobody I know has owned slaves, nor have their parents, or grandparents, great grandparents, or great great grandparents. If we all want to live in an egalitarian society, we need to stop focusing on racial strife and promote films that aren't about fucking slavery, black people being whipped, and fucking butlers and mammies!
