Open the client console and type in getmininginfo then where it stands "networkhashps" there you have a number in h/s hash per second. So for example 70000000 = 70Mh/s

Well every pool is like that, you should look at your cgminer.

The code that calculates network hash ps in every wallet I've looked at uses 120 blocks or time since last diff adjustment as the default period.  This makes the numbers pools show inaccurate for a while when a huge amount of hash rate joins.
