Tungfa mentioned "DAO", for those unfamiliar with the word D.A.O. it means Decentralized Autonomous Organisation.
Dash currently has three sub DAO's who operate independently from each other with each their own funds
and their own employees :
DashCore : responsible for Dash code development , business development and some other area's. Ryan is
CEO over that sub DAO.
Dash Force News : provides Dash coverage in the form of articles, opinion pieces, has its own website and also looks at interesting developments in the cryptoscene itself. Several people are responsible for the ongoing activities there.
DashLabs : created and maintained by Evan Duffield (original creator original lead developer of Dash) and studies hardware improvements to help with Dash on-chain upscaling route.
A fourth sub DAO is in de making, which is called Dash Ventures. It will represent DashCore in a legal structure entity, which may open up some interesting opportunities for Dash in the future.
The masternode network has budget voting control over all these sub DAO's.
