What you guys fail to understand is that the vast majority of people don't need or care about the level of anonymity that you do. The vast majority of people will be perfectly fine using Bitcoin because of the fact that it is mainstream and is being embraced by retail merchants, Wall Street, Venture Capitilists, and even some of the big banks. That exposure alone make people feel secure in using it. It gives it credibility. Most people don't want to live in the shadows or be associated with anything that is.
Darkcoin might very well be the most anonymous cryptocurrency in existence. The problem is that outside of this thread there is a much larger world. A world that doesn't need Darkcoin and is already using Bitcoin.
I remember early on there was discussion regarding the name Darkcoin and some people said that it would be bad to be associated in that light. I think that looking back many of you will come to realize that those predictions were spot on. Darkcoin will have a hard time coming out of the shadows and going mainstream because it will be viewed as being something to use for nefarious purposes.
