figure out the darksend tech, keep it private for one month, then open source it so all the ppl copying code for new coins can make 10 more alts like it. at least give it one month of real life to get ppl to buy in and use it for a while.

I already have.... The other DRK p2pools seem to be doing well,
so it was decided to let them have it....

Just got LTB p2pool going late last nite, and p2pool has found many blocks already....
No offense, but LTB seems to be alot more profitable at the moment VS DRK

I have a little over 5 LTB already and the LTB p2pool only been online about 9 or 10 hrs....

maybe i'll consider running the p2pool-drk github fork later...
but until then, the DRK p2pool has been taken offline on GoldMine.

I'd use an more unique approach to the release. More like a bargain with the community. Once DRK gets on some at least 1 major exchange as a trading pair(like BTC, LTC, XPM, and even Doge on some markets) then release it publicly. Having DRK as a trading pair on an exchange gives it huge recognition as a stable platform and sets it up for the future as a go to coin for many things.

Many people want it public, so allow them work for DRK to make it happen by requesting DRK as a trading pair.

Poloniex is having issues in its functionality. I went earlier to buy, clicked, nothing happened. Sell, click, nothing happened (on already set prices on the other side - so no waiting should be involved). All those flat lines in the history graph with low/high/close the same, indicate zero activity, and I doubt this zero activity is due to sellers or buyers doing nothing because I tried it myself and I could not perform operations.

The block reward already dropped from 500 to <25 (>20x drop or 4 complete halving), the initial reward formula favored only early adopters that's why (as told in the following comment) it was tweaked a bit the first time https://bt.irlbtc.com/view/421615.msg4675670#msg4675670.

I consider all the changes to reward formula as a way to keep control over huge portion of coins in one or very few hands. Also controlling the largest pool helps promoting any changes.

They changed the formula for block reward and didn't leave a disclaimer on the front page telling people the original formula for early adopters.
