The hype ended. The reason is that all the hype always comes from media. No shilling in media = no hype.

bitcoin has no haters! those who are spreading bullshit about it are the biggest lovers of bitcoin. they do it because they want to buy more of it before the price shoots up!

where is they hype? like any hype it has gone away. you can't keep the hype up. with it we reached $20k and it went away right there. but then it was replaced by desperation, panic and lots of manipulation that pushed the price a lot lower than anything logical.

No crazy gains or whatsoever is happening in bitcoin so people aren't bothered to produce hype or to be extra when it comes to delivering news and relaying information. See bitcoin gain massive traction towards a new ATH, everyone will start losing their minds and a massive hysteria would follow. As of now, only the FUDsters and shorters are alive, spreading exaggerated bear news in this forum and other media. Watch them disappear once a reversal happens; every strangers and freaks have their own place and time especially in a highly-lucrative and highly-speculative market.

Well competitors aren't doing so well themselves, and some may be doing even worse, so they can't exactly take advantage of the situation lol. Competitor (mostly Bitcoin Cash lmao) trolling only really comes out in full force when they're doing well while Bitcoin is slumping.

But yeah there hasn't really been any hype since last December. You'd think the Lightning Network launch would have added a boost, but it still has a long way to go. There's really nothing to do but to increase your portfolio and/or ride it out.

In mg opinion I think it should stay like this (I mean the hype, not tge price ). When the hype is very high, people think it's a "get rich overnight" venture and they join with wrong intentions and when they do no achieve that, it becomes a whole new story.

It was the hype created by big whales and the institutional investors so when they decided to exit from the market, it created a panic selling wave and ultimately a correction of 65% in the market and that's the reason why the price is declining day by day. However, I am optimistic about the coming second half of this year and I believe that we will see a fresh all-time high level in this year itself.

 I don't know about yours, but in my country bitcoin is everywhere. On the television on the internet advertisement video bloging, all kind of things that bombarding my mind are about bitcoin and blockchain and all of those things.
