I agree communication has been absolutely terrible. TBH I think it is significantly impacting the company's sales.

The BE200's were in hand, just many of the chips were defective.

The Bitmain calculation appears to be off by 4 points, unless I'm doing it wrong.

It sounds like either TSMC had damaged some of the ASICs, or (more likely) there's a defect in the way they sent the VHDL to TSMC and their tapeout went...poorly.

It's enough that they aren't doing another run of BE200s, and friedcat jumps into describing the BE300 and its power efficiency and timeframe as being Q1 2015. So I think the BE200 issue is on ASICMiner's end, not on TSMC's.

they admit the firmware is not up to snuff either (often quoted on site) and promised scrypt n conversion on miners put on hold (imho forever) that
they used to boost flagging sales before taking the titan off the sales page

anyway yeah bad bad I am at math don' t ya know

(ah well.....did ok with the jupiter....not so good with the titan....only if BTC goes below around $200 usd will I be a crying and if that becomes the case

Its a scam.

They took preorders for sha-256 ASICs which they claimed to have designed/built but it later turned out they just bought the hardware from another company and claimed it was their design.

Then they claimed to be designing a scrypt ASIC. Many preorders and delays later it turns out that yet again they just bought the machine from another company.

Alcheminer is the company making their scrypt hardware. I tried to get them to clarify the relationship between themselves and MAT and was pretty much ignored. For that reason I don't really trust Alcheminer but they are definitely much less shady than MAT.

Anyways, I'd personally just wait for Bitmains new scrypt ASIC to make a decision.
