Just came back from trying my GPUs on my other computer, and even though vertminer was running on that computer with integrated graphics, it didn't work with my 290x's.
Really disappointing, but it looks like I won't be mining this coin, and I don't know why. Had been really looking forward to it since it was announced weeks ago. Guess I will be buying it.

Must add, (but this can be due to the riser), you can get crash from time to time other than that no hardware error, average hashrate 391.9khash/s
