Its most definitely a scam. Even the longest running Ponzi scheme, as Bitconnect might certain well have been, is still a scam.

For everybody's reference, Bernie Madoff (currently spending the rest of his life in prison for his own Ponzi scheme) offered investors 12% a year.

The most generous banks, on the other hand, will give you 1-2% interest a year on a savings account.

I don't think anyone needs a special skill set to determine this is a scam and a cheap one at that. When Bitconnect broke and there was warnings all over the forum and other places on the internet, I was more surprised to see that some set of people could in their right sense come up with defense for Bitconnect until everything went down the drain but not with a lot of people losing their resources. If not greed,  I wonder how someone would invest and expect that kind of return within that timeframe.

The topic should even be moved to investors based games of the forum as that is where its like minded topics are located.
