i think most people, including me, are looking forward to adoption of lightning network. it is already in use and there are some small businesses are using it on main net but because it is not yet completely ready (from what i understand) no big businesses have yet adopted it. so i am looking forward to that kind of adoption.

It seems that in 2019 the positive news that will occur is about SEC where the SEC was postponed in 2019 and the SEC responded to all comments about bitcoin wherein the comments the majority of the audience gave more positive rather than negative responses. And that can be an additional capital of bitcoin to be accepted by the SEC in 2019.

Its true. I use to be a heavy paypal user, I tried creating an online shop back 2010 and sells Tshirts accepting money thru paypal. May deals and advertising with my paypal account but stop after getting scammed and to avoid getting scammed again. I turned to BTC. I still have my paypal with some few funds on it but rarely use it. Never used it for years. Maybe one day If they partnered with BTC.

I think the most positive news will be that bitcoin will start to grow this winter and in 2019 it will cost 100k dollars. it will be most positive

What I'm looking forward the most is acceptance by every small next door merchant. I don't need it to be the next world currency but i would like to see it as payment option next to cash, visa and others.
What i'm expecting is an approved ETF. We don't need it that much but it will happen in 2019.

Good news might come probably. And I think this would be betterones than we receive the last years with cryptocurrency. PUMP BITCOIN!

Obviously people expecting for good a d positive about bitcoin to achieve all goals of the creator for bitcoin he want to achieve as become world class digital currency.

None, I just want more openness towards the said crypto and acceptance from the governments, and perhaps better services on the side of companies working within the ecosystem. Everything is working fine within the protocol and no other problems are present so I think it's all good for bitcoin come 2019. Personal profit comes after the betterment of the services and infrastructures since everyone would be motivated trading til it greens, and it's somewhat safe to go for bitcoin since everything looks and feels good, and money is pouring in.

with all the downtrend and the stable phase for building up the foundation of the next rise we can be sure that 2019 will contain big rises because they will be no other way around it. for the same reason that you can not expect the price to continue to rise you can not also expect price to continue staying down.

There are few things that I wish to hear in the coming years. The list is below,

1. Adoption of Lightening network:
The name speaks for itself. It can make the bitcoin network immensely capable. It will bring the much needed technical overhaul to the network.
 
2. Legalization of bitcoin as a legal tender in US:
Congressman Tom Emmer has drafted a bill on the same matter which is awaiting to be published in the next assembly. Hope it gets the required number of support to make bitcoin legal in US. 3. Clearer legal framework around the world:
This is hard to happen, but this is one major step we will have to observe if we want bitcoin to become a truly global currency. It will encourage adoption of this currency to the merchant establishments where people will be able to trade their daily goods using bitcoin and other cryptos. I don't see this change is happening by 2019, but yes, in the years to come!

I believe these three major things can change the current situation of bitcoin for better and I am expecting these to happen with bitcoin in 2019 or in the years to come!
