You shouldnt need to adjust the core voltage on the newpac. All 6 of mine run stock voltage at 600m getting 134ghs each. You can measure the core voltage and the details are within the last couple of pages.

Like the others have stated I haven't had to change my core voltage on the newpacs either.  Any reason why you are looking or needing to change the core voltage?  I run mine at 400Mhz which pulls a steady 90.7Gh/s.  With enough cooling you can go higher as others have.

And thinking of cooling  @philipma1957  these fans after running for 24 hours made a nice difference on my R606's.  I had one unit that no matter the voltage it kept plateau on anything over 681MHz.  Now that I have installed the fans both units, they are running at 725Mhz averaging 982.9Gh/s each with no ASIC resets on volt setting 6.  

On my R606 - the three red voltage lights are blinking on/off every second. How do I set the voltage to lock them in - ie to remain lit?

This has to do with the temperature sensor, its a warning saying there is a problem. you should still be able to set your voltage though. Talked to the seller you purchased your R606 from, they should be able to assist you further.

So after a while of running these little machines I have an update.

I'm on power setting 4 and am pulling roughly 78W per unit so ~1TH/s at 100W, which is pretty damn good for how quiet these things are.

I did end up changing my power supply a few weeks ago to a SeaSonic SSR-650FX which handles the load easily. Also much quieter than the bitmain AWM7 or whatever that turbo induction power supply was.

I'm not sure if I'm on the most current version of VH's cgminer, everything is running pretty well so I see no need to change it.

It looks like if I were to upgrade my cpu and run an actual computer as the controller I'd be able to squeeze a bit more hash power from these units without incurring a significant power draw. But I haven't gotten around to wiping windows off an older HP machine and doing an Ubuntu build, I might never get around to it, who knows.

I am simply going to get mine up on a laptop.

Anyone here using Lunbuntu? (Light Unbuntu) I assume that will work fine?

I have a mess of old Compaq Evo N800v 'evil' 1gb ram laptops. Older than dirt. Completely unsuitable for anything above Win XP, nor are they suitable it seems for regular Unbutu 14.01 or above.  They were used to monitor the KNC Scrypt Miners in my Basement (free heat) over the years. Thus, will try those bricks first. I assume...being near the 'evil' KNC Titans in my basement (which the 'evil' KNC Titans would try to brick themselves on any 'eye contact' or 'sense of fear' on your part in daring to go into the basement...or whatever...yeah..they were that evil).

I figured I'd better ask if Lunbuntu is even possible to run this stuff before I fire them up and try. Truthfully, Lunbuntu is the ONLY version I've found that worked. Indeed, this could be all moot with the newest version of Lunbuntu.

Well...Lunbuntu does not work, I guess that is the next step to use Xunbuntu. Good to have options.

I could use a 'real' laptop, but not unless I have to. As to the Pi option, that may be beyond my skill set.

I am from the KNC Titan ASIC 'plug and play' days. As soon as you say cgminer and start tossing around

cgminer instructions, I get very nervous. I'm so lame I sold my old gekko USB sticks because I could never figure out how to get them up (this was with help).

Indeed I am that clueless. The GekkoMiner r606 has been sitting here a couple of weeks

I suppose I SHOULD finally toss it up or make a valiant attempt.

But then again, being clueless does have it's downsides.

This will be a 'crowning achievement' if I pull it off.

edit: (Then we can move on to the Bitcoin Hub that I did get up a year or so ago, and it is now down, the Bitmain USB hub for LTC, which 'seems' to be still working. But not the Bitmain USB hub for LTC, that I can't seem to get to work in any manner. So it goes, my goals are high, my skills are few.

I don't know why Ubuntu wouldn't run on 1GB RAM.  Win 7 runs fine on 1GB and I had Ubuntu 16.04 running fine on 2GB.  WinXP is the least lame Windoze version there is that's still usable.  That's what I'm running on this old laptop and it still keeps chugging along just fine.
