Firstly, it was the creation of bitcoin(Cryptocurrency) that gave rise to the era of the blockchain technology.
So from my own understanding , blockchain technology cannot survive without Cryptocurrency.
The businesses that are running on blockchain technology cannot run smoothly without Cryptocurrency.......since transactions are done using Cryptocurrency.
