firstly, their main function is performed as a node (server), and additional, if to speak simply, to maintain a copy of the blockchain and check new blocks and transactions. It makes a huge contribution to the development of cryptocurrency.
however, this is an interesting, in my opinion, system, since not every project uses masternodes. By the way, I heard that there is another type of receipt of coins, via PoS? What does it mean? Is this a basic or additional server function again?
