Also, where the heck is the IPL 2023 betting pool? Expected @Royse or @JSRAW to host it.
Thanks for the reminder bhai. Got distracted due to BGT but the IPL thread should be up in the next couple of days.
WPL has only 5 teams and considering the performance of each team it seems the most probable teams to qualify for the finals of MI and DC. This is why you need 8 teams. An even figure gives more competition if you understand the calculation. When you have a group in odd figures it will always end up like the way this first season would end. BCCI should make WPL more competitive rather than controlled by a few teams.
BCCI should also start extensive ways to get more talent. After watching this season of WPL, I feel women's cricket in India needs a lot of improvement in the grass root level. I never imagined Indian women cricketers are struggling to bowl and field like overseas players.
It's the first edition of WPL and the learning curve for the officials and franchises, now they have tested the water and from now on all focus would be on skill development. All franchises will also do BCCI's bidding for obvious reasons, similar to Men's IPL scouting, camp etc so give it a couple of more years. These things take time for sure but it'll happen eventually.
