The pitch is spin friendly. Teams will be making a big mistake if they don't prioritize spin bowlers in this match. However, the Chennai team is not weak. But we don't see a good performance from them in the first match. Despite having a lot of talented batsmen on the team, they are not playing well. On the other hand, LSG's players proved their worth in the first match itself. The bowling of Mark Wood, Avesh Khan, and Bishnoi was controlled. If LSG is able to perform this consistently against Chennai then they will be able to win against Chennai. But today my favorite team will be LSG. I am willing to bet on this team to win. Because I really liked LSG's performance in the first match.

Today's game would be a pressure one for Dhoni as CSK started the IPL with a defeat. KL Rahul would be more confident on his team than himself as he knows they have some of the best batters & bowlers. I am very much interested to see the English bowler. The mind game Wood plays with batters is the reason for his success. In the last match the way he bowled Prithvi Shaw was the best thing I have noticed in a bowler. I reckon todays match would more interesting to watch than all the previous one.

Has anyone watched this season IPl with bhojpuri commentary? If not you should try it once. It is hilarious whenever a 4 or 6 is hit by the batter and it becomes unberiably hilarious when a bowler gets a wicket. There are three versions of bhojpuri commentary for wickets. Which are when a batter gets bowled, caught and in the end LBW. Everything that the commentator says is not understandable but it really makes the game more engaging.

Chennai Super Kings have been performing very well since the Powerplay. But looking at today's run rate, Chennai is definitely likely to win. Chennai Kings did not perform very well in the last match, but in today's match, there is a tough fight with Locknow Super Giants. If Chennai Kings can collect more than 200 runs, there is definitely a chance to win. Chennai's batsmen were seen sending the ball to boundaries many times. The name of Chennai is heard in the voices of cricket lovers in the gallery and today's supporters are very much in favor of Chennai.

Chennai made a huge total of 217 for the loss of 7 wickets. Although the performance of the batsmen was not good in the first match, they played well in today's match. The two openers Gaikwad and Conway started the innings well. Almost every batsman in the top order batted well. This is why Chennai managed to collect a huge 217.
However, like in the first match, Jadeja did not play well today. He collected only 3 runs off 6 balls. LSG's batsmen are in good form though. Even then, it is much more difficult to score 218 runs to win this match. But if the top order is able to play well then LSG have a chance to win.

Even after giving away a huge target of 218, Chennai cannot be said to be in the safe zone. The pitch was expected to be completely bowling-friendly. But we don't see it that way. The bowlers are not getting any advantage on this pitch.
LSG needs 11 runs in each over to win. Lucknow's openers Kyle Mayers and KL Rahul are playing very well. While KL Rahul is batting very carefully, Kyle Mayers is batting devastatingly. He is unbeaten with 48 runs from 20 balls. At the end of 5 overs, Lucknow managed to collect 73 runs. They are collecting more than 14 runs in every over. If Chennai's bowlers are not able to break this pair very quickly then I don't see any chance of them winning this match. However, apart from these two batsmen, LSG has experienced batsmen like Nicholas Pooran and Deepak Hooda in their squad.

For Moeen Ali's responsible bowling, the match is completely in Chennai's control now. Moeen Ali conceded only 18 runs in 3 overs and picked up important wickets. He managed to pick up three crucial wickets for Kl Rahul, Kyle Mayers, and Krunal Pandya. LSG scored 80 runs in the first 6 overs of the powerplay. But now at the end of 11 overs, LSG's collection is 110/4. If the bowlers are able to bowl with some control, Chennai will win this match.

Without Kyle Mayers, LSG's top-order players did not play well. KL Rahul though collected 20 runs, but his strike rate was only 111. However, Dhoni is an experienced captain. He knows very well when to use a bowler to get good results. It is expected that Chennai will be able to win today's match.

Finally Chennai Super Kings won their home field. Although it was already assumed that this team have the high provability to win the match as it is played in their home ground. I have a little difference with my thought the run on the spin pitch would be relatively low but it did not, the total score beyond my expectation. Chennai Super Kings has collected 217 runs in the match, on the other hand, thanks to Lucknow Super Giants that they have been able to make a good score against such a big one.
