However because to persistent efforts from each player the club was able to score a commendable total of 182 runs. This exemplifies the batting lineup depth and overall strength for the Mumbai Indians. The team bowlers are now mostly responsible for the match outcome. Given the importance of this match it is not an easy challenge for them to control Lucknow potent batting order. The Mumbai Indians ability to keep up a strong economy rate during the middle overs successfully placing pressure on the opposition will be essential to their success. The Mumbai Indians will probably succeed if they can carry out this plan. Stoinis and Krunal Pandeya are two batsmen who are very important for the Lucknow Super Giants especially Stoinis currently has 35 runs off 19 balls. At the other end, Krunal Pandya is batting patiently and giving more strikes to Stoinis. If Mumbai Indians bowlers fail to get these two batsmen out then Mumbai Indians will surely lose today's match. The performance of Mumbai bowlers today is much better than the previous matches. Akash Madhwal is bowling very well. In 2 overs he picked up three important wickets for just 3 runs. Lucknow collected only 75 runs in 10 overs. The important thing is that they lost 5 wickets. Now the match is completely under Mumbai's control. But now Marcus Stoinis and Deepak Hooda are batting. These two batsmen are very experienced. And so Mumbai still has to bowl controlled. If these two batsmen are set at the crease, it will be difficult for Mumbai to win.

Most of the peoples were concern about Mumbai bowling but things completely under their control with after 12 over 90 runs and 6 outs mean now we have second qualifier between GT vs MI which could be good encounter.
Today we have good batting and bowing from Mumbai specially their bowlers which are no experienced done good job and not allowed LSG aggressive batting to have anything from here just Stoinis done some resistance but after his run-out now Mumbai can feel safe.

Today we have no big score from any Mumbai batsmen but still all were in good touch which helps their team for having target like 182 Naveen-ul-Haq's four wickets in vain with Mumbai excellent all-rounder performance.

LSG team was defeated by a huge margin of 81 runs. For me, it was a completely unexpected result. Don't expect such a bad performance from LSG's batsmen. Because several T20 specialist batsmen were in LSG's squad. We haven't seen a good performance from Mumbai's bowlers this season either. But the scenario of today's match was completely different. Akash Madhabala bowled 3.3 overs and picked up 5 wickets and conceded just 5 runs. I would say Akash is the main hero of Mumbai's win today. It was Akash's brilliant bowling that helped Mumbai beat LSG so easily.

I think this season we will see Mumbai vs Chennai final. The way Mumbai have performed in their last two matches is truly commendable. They won both the matches by performing well. The performance of their bowlers was somewhat poor. And the bowlers proved their mettle in today's match. I expect Mumbai to win against Gujarat Titan in the next match. Mumbai won the last match against Gujarat by 27 runs. A huge target of 219 runs was given by the Mumbai batsmen. I hope they will not disappoint us in the next match.

Akash Madhwal is the find of the season for Mumbai Indians and another wonderful spell of bowling in a crucial match and Mumbai Indians are back in form as usual like the other seasons during the final stages of the IPL and it looks like we will be seeing another final between Mumbai and Chennai and Chennai lifting another trophy  .

Mumbai Indians are yet to get to the finals, there is another play off match between Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians and the winner will face Chennai Super Kings in the final.

The entire team was defeated by this one bowler Akash Madhwal. His performance is among the best in IPL history. None of the five wicket takers in the IPL so far have bowled at such a low economic rate. If I show his complete bowling figure then the bowling figure would be like this,

Mumbai Indians performed really well. When at first I saw that the target was only 183 I did not believe that Mumbai Indians would be able to successfully defend that. I thought that target was good but not probably good enough, as in this season's IPL we had a lot of big scores being chased down.

But Mumbai Indians proved me wrong. They have successfully defended the target. And they have also done that with style. 81 is a big margin. Even though they did not score very big they had certainly won with a big margin. Is it the biggest so far in this season's IPL by the way?

Yes, but form doesn't always seem to exist in cricket. Moreover, if the condition of the team is good at one time, that is not get by another time. Maintaining consistency is a big challenge for cricket, especially for franchise leagues. LSG at one time looked like they were very good performers and would be champions and Mumbai Indians looked like they might not make the playoffs. But everything changed. The beginning was good but the ending didn't do well.
