It's a bad idea for Zimbabwe to play with Teams like South Africa and New Zealand. Not only there's no chance of them winning any of it, they'd also not get any improvements from it. They would just be more frustrated with humiliation. On contrary, they should look to play with similar teams like them. They should have looked to play with teams like Bangladesh and Pakistan where the playing field would have been more even.
The African qualifiers for 2026 T20 world cup would start from 19 September and for two slots in the world cup, they need to fight with other African Nations, the likes of Namibia, Uganda, Nigeria and Tanzania.
But I have different opinion from you . Every team should try to play against best team after they will see their weak points . Otherwise,they will win against small teams and will be happy with their state and there will be no improvement in that .
We saw Zimbabwe team won matches against Pakistan International cricket team but we didn't expect that will be happen and in the World Cup we also saw match when Zimbabwe team won the match against Pakistan and we saw improvement in Afghanistan cricket team after getting best bowlers and they changed the confidence level of Afghanistan team. We also saw same kind of situation of Bangladesh International Cricket team when Mustafizur came in International team and he changed the performance of team and got back to back wickets in the matches and Bangladeshi team won match against Pakistan and South Africa.
