Today was the 3rd match of the T20I series between New Zealand vs West Indies, where New Zealand won. New Zealand batted first and collected 177 runs in the allotted overs which was not a bad target. On the other hand, West Indies came close to the target, but were bowled out for 168 runs and defeated by 9 runs. I think if West Indies' top order and middle order batsmen could have done well enough then West Indies could have won. However, now if West Indies want to win the series then they have to win the next 2 matches. On the other hand, if New Zealand can win 1 match of the next 2 matches, then New Zealand will win the series.
At one point, I genuinely thought the West Indies were going to pull off a miracle and win today's match but they fell short by just 9 runs. Collapsing to 88-8, their tailenders mounted an extraordinary fightback to reach 168 all out, giving New Zealand a real scare. In the end, though, the Kiwis held on, helped by a slice of luck. But, what a thrilling, nail-biting, and fiercely contested series so far!
