Have you read the first paragraph of what I have written? I am talking about the second part of that sentence which is "winning" players who "won" to become "winning". It doesn't matter anyway because I do agree with you probably for the first time ever, hell maybe for the first time ever someone agrees with you on bitcointalk.
If they use these words then they try to market it like they allowed people to withdraw 500 million dollars, you have every single right to think it like that and I would have thought the same thing if I didn't know how eosbet worked.
However, it is clearly the 500 million won wagers that mostly then lost afterwards, otherwise 34 billion dollars wagered makes no sense at all or they would have to have an insane amount of difference in house edge. Basically there is no way 500 million was withdrawn, it is just marketing way of saying "people won 500 million on their bets but looking at dividends they lost it right back".
Yeah, I already tried explaining to him exactly this. It didn't work.
It's fair to argue that calling them "winnings paid out" is misleading, but I'm telling you exactly what they mean when they say "almost $500m in winnings paid to players"
