It's ridiculous to outright call an ENTIRE project a 'scam' because of one small outlier like this. If there was more than one piece of evidence, then sure, anyone would agree that's reasonable. But it could have been an honest mistake from an inexperienced developer. And it seems so because they quickly removed the pictures and admitted fault.
What more evidence do you need?
Honesty is when you let the users know that the pictures used are not the actual images of the team. We live in a world of scammers so any slight red flag will definitely raise eyebrows because we have seen such a thing here time and time again.
If you caught a thief and he quickly returned your property after getting caught, Does that making him an honest person who is not a thief?
Come on.
The best thing they would have done if the wanted to stay anonymous was not to include the team part at all(obviously they wouldn't get so many people trusting their project since lately very few people are willing to waste their time/resources on anonymous projects. Gone are the days.)
By the way, it isn't an ICO, so I am not sure how they are scamming people by posting fake pictures of themselves.. Care to elaborate?
Also, the stock images they used were free to use without restriction (look at the original post), so they could use these images how ever they wanted to. Sorry to break it to you, but no one gives a fuck about how a PoW coin developer looks like.

The coins from scammers will still end up with an innocent somebody buying them from an exchange. So it is better to stop it before that happens.
