2018 review

While we’ve already started working on our New Year’s resolutions, we’d like to make a quick overview of 2018. We’ve embraced changes in the industry pushing for legal clarity and company transparency. Looking back, we have been releasing new feature updates at an extraordinary rate. By enabling cryptocurrency experts to share their knowledge on the ICONOMI platform, we are helping users enter the existing world of cryptocurrencies and teaching them new ways of investing.
2018 was a year of landmarks for ICONOMI, with the long-awaited release of euro transactions enabling users to buy into Digital Portfolios and individual cryptocurrencies directly with euros, a proof of solvency conducted by a Big Four professional services firm, the first stages of the eICN security token, and much more.
In total, we completed 90% of features for Digital Portfolio Experts, 85% for users, and 81% for the platform.

Direct Purchase of Individual Cryptocurrencies
In addition to buying Digital Portfolios managed by cryptocurrency experts, users can also buy into ten leading individual cryptocurrencies directly with euros:

In September, we announced the upcoming transformation of ICONOMI’s corporate structure facilitated by the eICN security token. All holders of eICN will be entitled to common shareholders’ rights such as voting rights and the right to participate in the net profit of the company and will have the chance to actively shape the future of ICONOMI.

Based on market demand for an easy entry point into cryptocurrency, we have revamped our content to create an inviting and informative environment for current and future users.
Our new explore page makes it easier than ever to browse through the 34 Digital Portfolios and 10 cryptocurrencies now available on the ICONOMI platform.

eICN Exchange Process Continues

As planned, the first step in the process of exchanging ICN finished on December 31, 2018. 80% of ICN holders already exchanged their ICN, with the following results:

The dedicated ICN exchange page will remain continuously available until December 31, 2019. There will be two distribution dates:
July 31, 2019: All ICN tokens exchanged by June 30, 2019
January 31, 2020: All ICN tokens exchanged by December 31, 2019
Exchange Rates
The ICN to eICN exchange will remain 1:1 for the entire period up to December 31, 2019. The ICN to ETH exchange rate has changed and is now 0.00165 ETH for one ICN token. This exchange rate is valid until January 31, 2019.
Starting February 1, 2019, the ICN to ETH exchange rate will be 0.00125. We encourage you to act now and exchange your ICN on the ICONOMI platform.
After December 31, 2019, exchange of ICN tokens will no longer be possible. All ICN tokens still on the ICONOMI platform on December 31, 2019 will automatically be converted to ETH at the exchange rate valid at that time.
We encourage all ICN holders who have not yet taken action to start the ICN exchange process now!
