It has been asked many times previously, in what device you want to get the notifications? If you use smartphone then you can use bitcoin checker that you can download on playstore but if you are looking for windows software then I have no ideas about it.

I'm also interested since I can't monitor the market every hour, it would be good to have the notification in case something is about to happen. Its an alert system to help in trading. It would help you dump and buy when opportunity to profit knocks.

I am using recently an app that you can download in the Google Play store and its called Bitcoin Checker, A decent application on your mobile phone that will keep you up to date with the recent movement on the price change and I am providing a link below

But anyway that was back then that I have only started trading and Hodling Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies because right now I don't really need it and it is just only consuming some space in my mobile device and gets pretty annoying in my opinion, And if I can surely just check it from time to time, So no need in using applications like this in my opinion.

There are many applications for that, even most of them probably have this feature because it is the most demanded one. But the problem I faced in the past was that you always need to be connected to internet to get notifications, you can probably get them without internet connection as well.

I never heard of any app that actually notifies you when the price is going up or down. Actually I never looked for applications like those since I always keep an eye on the price of bitcoins. Probably you there are some apps like those out there. Would be weird if you get notified every time the price goes green and red.

I only use BlockFolio to keep track on my crypto currency.
But it would only notify you when it hit the price that you have set not everytime the price changes.
And if want you could do what others have already mention try looking for the one that would suits you well.

I use Blockfolio since then but it couldn't notify you as you want. You have to check it. There are also reliable apps on Appstore so you just have to find one with good reviews. If you want to be sure, you can check prices on Coinmarketcap.

I basically stick with CMC all the way whether it is on mobile or desktop. Other apps like Blockfolio offer more features, but I don't really need these features which is why CMC does the job for me.

Also, I usually use google to convert BTC to different FIAT currencies and vice versa.
