There is only one Bitcoin and there will be no next. Yes it is not bad to invest on some altcoins but thhe majority of investment should be in bitcoin. We all know that altcoin fluctuations mostly ride wih bitcoin.

Bitcoin itself is really profitable even without the help of other altcoins but its better if you have both as investments. I guess people are just experimenting and take chances if they put all of their money in altcoins. Thats what trading is all about anyway.

We all are in experimenting for something to know which areas will be more profitable and to look for altcoins is our other options to think.
We don't need to look for another bitcoin cause we have found it already, in fact, we've been together for many years. It is better to chase for potential altcoins rather than have another Bitcoin.

Don't see the access of a Bitcoiner to start chasing another Next Bitcoin, but there is one; most important thing in the world of cryptocurrency that shade an investors as they invest. Diversification of portfolio doesn't necessary means that, they are chasing after next Bitcoin rather they are extra extremely careful with their investments in the world of cryptocurrency.   

It is very difficult to chase another "Bitcoin" or believe one that competes, because the reason is very clear, there will always be speculation in the market, and this is made up of many investors, which, despite the bitcoin does not have support or sustenance as Stock Market shares, bitcoin has its Blockchain technology.

There are many Altcoins that have tried to have the same Bitcoin story, but have not had any success, in fact they have gotten that they are not listed in some Exchanges, since 2009, Bitcoin came out, has gone through the main ones stages of the speculative market, have been fulfilled as in the Stock Market, with the difference that the Bitcoin market is much more volatile, but can hardly pursue another titan like Bitcoin.

People are investing to these new crypto hoping that it would turn like Bitcoin or be the next Bitcoin.
I agree that we have to stop chasing the next Bitcoin because the more we invested the more we lose .
We have to wake up and stop aiming for the next Bitcoin we already have the original why wouldn't we be contented by it?

Bitcoin will remain the top coins, there will be no “the next bitcoin” because investors will not allow that. I don’t know why there’s a project still insisting that they are the next bitcoin, they are just hyping their coin which is not good for the investors.

The OP may be right about his opinion, but the topic is highly arguable. Even with the worst market condition, some still managed to get hefty profits investing in altcoins. You can't really ask someone to stop doing something that fills up their bags. I think the OP just wants to emphasize how risky it is to invest in other coins other than bitcoin. But for me, a diversified portfolio is always better than only having bitcoin. Risk is always a factor when investing, we need to accept that, and mitigating it should be our top priority.

Hahaha chasing the next bitcoin is what got me Rekt in my first investments in cryptocurrencies. Now I believe even before the next bitcoin can have a chance to make me profit on investment. Bitcoin would have made me enough already. My new portfolio is 70% bitcoin at any point in time now because nothing compares to Bitcoin
