I wonder if it's realy EBay that supports purchases made with crypto or some third party crypto for that swap going on here. Seems a bit to good to be true that EBay would start this.

But then the company has to still go after trading which is I believe a big part of the profit you were saying. Plus the fees you have to pay in order to send that payment is somewhat not very appealing unlike fiats which you can pay without those fees.

Ebay doesn't accept cryptocurrency as payments.... for now.

I think one reason why Ebay is still hesitant to this idea is the stability of the prices of digital coins. How could Ebay set an amount if the mode of payment itself is very volatile in nature.

Well i do read news about it, but i dont think it will be neccessary for ebay or amazon to develop their own coin for puchases. I do think its good news for crypto space and i assume many big retailer are started to think that crypto has sort of a potential to become a currency.

maybe, but it's still too fast for that. developing their own crypto might be good, but we don't need it yet. maybe for the start it's better to use existing crypto coins like bitcoin, ethereum or even stable coins like tether.

There is rumor.But not sure about that.President Trump aim of "Make America Great Again" bond with stronger american droller. So I think traders like to keep their funds in american dollars. Also if you allow cryptos that would be a little problem.Traders fear what will happen if market crash.They always believes in history .Numbers.That is the thing they relay on.May they have sow early years.I think rumor will be only a rumor for few months.Hope they accept that.That will be big push to cryptos.If ebay accept then surely will create a line of "crypto accepted" companies.

Not much progress is been seen in this terms. There are always a lot of rumors who even sometimes are game changers but now as the community is getting developed, any of such rumor is not treated a source of information until and unless it is been outsourced with a reputable new source. Bitcoins is showing us a lot of growth so peoples would always keep on spreading such rumors about bitcoins and each major marketplace but it is our duly responsibility to not to trust any of such rumors until ebay itself declares this. I think ebay should take an innovative step and accept cryptocurrency payment gateway. This might surely multiply the trades and uses of ebay.
