Limited 10 coins

To celebrate 10 years of bitcoin I am auctioning silver dollars from 2009 countermarked with the BTC symbol.

In this post I will be auctioning the coin number 1 only.

Background

A total of 10 coins were countermarked for the 10 years celebration, all the coins are from 2009 (the year bitcoin was launched)

The coins have the BTC countermakred in the front above the line "IN GOD WE TRUST"

On the back they were countermarked with the issue number, from 1 to 10.

The coins are official liberty 1 oz pure silver coins.

Why countermarked?

For centuries, empires countermarked coins for a variety of reasons, primarily in the old times when there was no paper money they used countermark coins at the border customs checks or if a state would like to give a new value to coins already in circulation.
