Doosan has their horse on the mound tonight, but he got hit hard last time out and will be pitching on short rest again tonight. Raul Alcantara has allowed 7 runs in 11 innings over his last two starts. Getting a +1.5 on the road team is great value, as the home team needs to have it covered after 8 innings (or hit a home run with men on base). Kiwoom will counter with Lee Seung-ho and he pitched well of late with only 1 loss since July 12th. This should be a well-pitched game by both sides, and we will side with the better team that has won 5 of the 8 meetings (1 push).

The Nuggets have had a great run. They came back from big deficits against the Jazz and Clippers to win those series. But we think they don't have another rally in them. Both of their series before this went to Game 7. This team has played a lot of basketball, and we think that this might be a real ugly game for them. The Lakers want to end this while the Celtics/Heat series is still going to give themselves some extra time to rest, and we expect them to go all out tonight while they have the Nuggets on the ropes. They don't want Denver winning this one and getting confidence for another 3-1 comeback. We think they play lockdown defense and shut down a Denver offense that should be running on fumes here. We think this is a great chance for a double-digit Lakers win, and we are getting the best line of the series for the favorites.

As per your selection on Getafe to pick up points here at home vs Real Betis, they are among the best defensive teams through two games, conceding no goals while scoring one in a 1-0 win over Osasuna. As for Betis, they are very poor defensively in their last game vs Madrid, conceding three goals despite being up 2-1 at half time. Getafe is solid at home whereas Betis have just one away league win in their last 13 matches and we don't see a way they pick up their second win here against a Getafe team that simply doesn't concede very many goals and is the much more healthy squad compared to Betis. Look for Getafe to win this game 1-0 as we cash another soccer ticket.

Per this selection, let's go with the Connecticut Sun here as if you wait until gametime, you will proabably get a better line. Vegas when they faced elimination in their last game, they were actually down by 1 point at the half. So, it's not like Connecticut doesn't know how to really give a team a scare here and they fell short in the second half. Now, Connecticut (similar to the Miami Heat), will look to put this team away but they also have to face the prospect of being put away themselves as this is an elimination game. Note, Vegas went 1/9 from 3 point land in an elimination game, that is not good at all. This is a Connecticut team that had 12 turnovers and will take care of the ball much better today and this team is dangerous for a lot of reasons, but the main one is that there is no expectation on this team and they are playing loose and with no fear at all - you can see it with their effort and when they make a mistake, they really don't let it get to them - because they never should have been here to begin with. Connecticut is fantastic on defense, that is their calling card, they had a bad defnsive game the last game and they bounce-back defensively here. See, Connecticut can beat you many ways, with their youth, with their 3 point shooting, with their defense and if Vegas doesn't get their 34 year old star in Angel McCoughtery to ball out again like she did last game going 13/22 - they are done. Remember, she was 6/17 in the game before and Connecticut will hound her ageing legs today. Connecticut has youth, no fear, better shooting and better defense and they shock the WNBA landscape today by possibly winning this game Outright but more importantly, we like them to Cover.

WON - Take Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5 Runs over Milwaukee (10 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 30th)

I will go with the Dodgers in this one. They are massive favorites to win the National League and one of the favorites to win the World Series. I think they will start off this series with a win. The Brewers barely made the postseason. They finished below .500 where the Dodgers went 43-17. The Brewers averaged just 4.3 runs per game and they were No. 26 in team batting at .223. The Dodgers were No. 2 in runs per game with 5.8 and just No. 2 in runs allowed at 3.6. The Brewers are 5-11 on the road and they are 3-9 in their last 12 playoff road games. The Dodgers are 38-13 against a team with a losing record and 76-29 in their last 105 home games.

WON - Take New York Yankees over Cleveland (7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 30th)

The Yankees blew out the Indians last night for a 4-Unit winner for me. I think they will finish the series tonight with another win. Masahiro Tanaka has been outstanding in the postseason. In his first seven playoff starts he has a career 1.32 ERA over 41 innings and did not allow more than two runs. The Yankees are 12-3 in their last 15 playoff games as a favorite and 13-6 in their last 19 games as a favorite overall. Cleveland has lost seven straight playoff games and they are 0-8 as a playoff underdog. The Indians are 2-6 in their last eight playoff home games and they are 7-20 in their last 27 games as an underdog overall. Both teams have strong starters on the mound. The Yankees have the big advantage with their lineup though and htat will help get them the win here.

We roll with Bedene here as it is a good spot for him to do well as he faces Milojevic here. Aljaz Bedene is 31 years old and from Sloevenia. These two players have never really met and they meet here in the French Open. Note that he has been as high as top 50 in the world and he is not going to be intimidated by the stage, or the surroundings. He recently played in the ATP Masters in Rome and lost in straight sets in the 2nd qualifying round to a top 130 player and he is probably going to be irritated coming into this match. In New York he went 5 sets and lost in the US Open Round of 128 but still picked up a nice paycheck there. In the ATP Masters in Cincinnati he balled out, he beat Kudla, Dennis Novak, Christian Garin (top 20 player), Taylor Fritz (top 30 player) and lost to Medvedev in the Round of 16. Bedene has not played well in his last 2 tournaments, he faces Milojevic who is from Serbia (Djokavic's country) and Milojevic has been as high as top 140 in the World which is where he roughly is now. Milojevic last played well in India when he won 3 matches and then eventually lost a top 100 player. This is a nice spot for Bedene who has been here, done that, and Milojevic is a decent player but has a tendnecy to struggle against seasoned veterans such as Bedene.

I like the Cubs to bounce back today. I don't see them getting swept at home in this series. Miami has been overachieving all season long. They are just happy to be in the playoffs. The Cubs are going with Yu Darvish and he has been one of the best pitchers in baseball and has been having a potential Cy Young season. Darvish is 8-3 with a 2.01 ERA and 93 strikeouts to just 14 walks. He has been dominating this year. The Marlins are going with Sixto Sanchez who was not even on their Opening Day roster. The rookie got off to a good start this season but has allowed nine runs in his last two starts over just seven innings and I think that hitters are starting to catch up to him as they get more tape on him and see him more. The Cubs are 16-5 at home against the Marlins and they are 9-2 in their last 11 games against Miami. The Cubs have their backs against the wall and I think that they will win today and set up a deciding Game 3 in this series.

Tonight at Petco Park the San Diego Padres will be looking to avoid elimination from the St. Louis Cardinals. I know the Cardinals will have postseason veteran Adam Wainwright on the mound but I see the Padres pushing in early runs over Wainwright and the Padres ties up this 3-game series. Zach Davies has dropped back-to-back home starts but he finished the regular season winning 4 out 6 and I see him keeping the ball inside the park tonight. The St. Louis Cardinals are 1-4 following a win and the San Diego Padres are 9-3 following a loss.
