This information isn't new at all but is important to know...

Without the halving there would be unlimited coins, so, it was necessary to do it this way if we want to have a total of 21M coins. Is important to remember that some other coins like doge coin or clam coin doesn't have this feature, that way we always see a constant value on the block reward and a constant grow on the total supply.

Good to be reminded that the next Bitcoin rewards halving is getting near and that hopefully something great can happen with Bitcoin before, during and after this scheduled event. It is still months, so we may not yet feel any good movement in the price of Bitcoin especially so that we still have to finish the holiday season. In the past, halving usually produced some level of excitement that affected Bitcoin positively though there is no guarantee that the same thing can happen.

As we can see mining is currently stagnating or even in a slightly growth phase while prices are declining. this means that mining is getting more and more competitive and that miners will be forced to sell an increasing share of their freshly mined coins just to cover their electricity bill. This selling pressure leads to lower prices, which in turn forces miners to sell even more Bitcoins to cover their costs. that's what happened 2016 and that's also what I expect to happen again. However, It won't play out exactly the same way because people are learning, but they are not smart enough to fully take these mechanics into account.

It might be good for newbies to become aware of current bitcoin's price situation.

If you dont know halving will make price skyrocket as the lesser coins that will become out of existence the higher the buy price will become (just like markets)

That's one of the reasons why many of us are HODLing and waiting for the next halving.
