It is excellent news to be able to use cryptocurrencies as a means of legal payment in Ukraine, only they are doing it for money which is a joke.


And where all that money will go? If it's approved, we'll see.

It is nothing new that there will be more countries that will legalize and adopt cryptocurrency as an accepted payment system.
As more countries legalize and adopt crypto as a legal payment system, the power of crypto will increase and make it clear that these countries have the expected interests and welfare.
As expected by the Ukrainian government below.

yes of course this is nothing new because previously there were also several countries that had legalized crypto payers,
But I am sure now adopters of bitcoin or cryptocurrency in bulk will be getting closer because some governments are now slowly starting to accept or realize that cryptocurrency is either used as a transaction tool or for payment in their country.

the step of Ukraine might be a motivation for a country that has a large crypto community. because right now there are many big countries that haven't legalized crypto, so if the Ukrainian country legalizes, so when will the big countries come to legalize crypto?

This is generally good news. Crypto is entering into another mainstream phase. However, it is worth noting that along with this acceptance is a compromise, a meeting of two actors in a common ground. Acceptance in this sense is just another word for being allowed but put under regulation, strict regulatory measures by the government. And further, in compliance with EU and international FATF and AML standards and specific guidelines.

As a compromise, therefore, the limited anonymity of Bitcoin, for example, will be further blurred because of "strict compliance with financial monitoring and reporting standards prescribed by the newly adopted bill." Also, there must be some implications in line with taxation and other domestic policies when the bill was specifically classifying cryptocurrencies as property.

 

Implementation of crypto is always a positive move for the community. The FATF is not in favor of keeping crypto as a usable currency so its nice to see what Ukraine will do if FATF tries to stop it. Russia might learn from it and start using crypto as a legal tender.

Looks like it's another case of fake and misleading news, cause I don't get any confirmations from Ukrainian sources, and the articles themselves don't lead to any sources. So, what really happened, is that Ukraine adopted some AML laws that mention crypto - but there was no bill dedicated specifically to crypto. And since crypto was never illegal, it really doesn't mean anything to crypto users. This is just another trash clickbait article from trash website.

This is good news, and I hope more and more countries begin to see the benefits of accepting crypto.

Just for the motives of gathering funds, not a new reason for a country to accept crypto other than adding revenue stream whether through taxation or to attract people into moving their money there. But, this one atleast better than nothing and to add up into the list of countries legalizing the use of cryptos. not that i'm skeptical but if this method suceed another neighbouring country will follow.
