People can simply help by obeying the rules and regulations of the authorities to stay at home because the virus can be easily transmitted from one person to another. It will be great to see people helping people in need, a lot of people are struggling because they don't have any source of income and they can't provide what they need. Anyway, I think it's a good idea since it has good intention though as you say we just need a trustworthy person to ensure that it will be donated.

It is a good idea to help those in need in these times of pandemic but we should at least separate the donations like on what country you are in so we don't have to worry in distributing the donations and converting it to the local fiat. If these plan will be broad then separating it to every country is the best option, assigning someone who can be trusted to distribute the donations to the people who are in need.

But the main problem to this kind of action is to planning on how to gather the donations and how to divide it because there are other countries who are in the center of the pandemic so they really need more donations compare to those countries who have less cases.

Everyone can donate funds to their local governments and authorities. In my country too, there is a coronavirus relief fund where I have deposited some fiat money. I do not like the idea of bitcoin donation here bcause there is a chance that people will take bitcoins in the name of donation and might scam 

It's not hard to do that as transactions can be done with the wallet of trusted members or whoever that can manage the process. Share your
spare money if you still have that luxuries.
This is the time to work together and help those who are really in need especially those poor places who can't manage to feed their families.

This would be great if we've done it earlier. Right now, we can't really do that since we are now focussed on the pandemic at hand. I don't know why are you pushing it right now but the timing is just not right. If you still want to do it though, you can just google search how to do it and where to send it. If you are having doubts, you could just ask people about it here in the forum. We are talking about bitcoin here so there are a lot of possibilities that that site we are dealing with scams here.

So you want to help huh?? Donating some money will help but there is more important than that OP.

Just stay at home and sleep. I remember the time when my mother said to me "You're sleeping all day all night you idiot. You're not helping ". Now I rebut with her and said "Now I'm helping the world thru sleeping and staying at home ".

TBH, there is no need to donate some cash or anything if you are just a normal person. Let the businessmen and the rich people do their job of donating the cash and lets help the frontliners right now thru staying at home so that we can't get affected and we can't affect other people too. There is no harm in staying at our home for the meantime so why do they choose to go outside when there is a pandemic going on. Stupid people but anyway, I will just stay home at least I help to save the world .

I am already Helping others and i don't need to donate my Bitcoin just to help others.

There is a simple but Helpful advice,whenever you see those Frontliners  in Fight against this Corona and Give them even water or other stuffs that can relieve them even in a while.

Help Also those people that in your community that heavily affected by the lock down maybe some of them are not allowed to work at home and being"No work no pay"
they really badly needed your help.

Donations are not necessary every time a problem comes up. Some tines precautions and sticking to experts advice works better. I believe this is what the world needs now on COvid 19 while the various governments take care of their people financially as they observe lockdown.
