I think the block explorer is getting its information from an old version wallet node. Looking into this matter as we speak. Not a good timing indeed Shocked

However, I will not participate.

I think it's just the block-explorer that's frozen, every pool is on the same blockcount as my client is.

This could work to the coins advantage.
The media attention will also be divided over this.

Short term this will only attract more miners and investors.
Less dumping, more buying = more attention.
