Yeah coz why not? I mean it's not impossible that he is not into bitcoin despite of being rich. He got Tesla and I think that's enough proof that he can be a billionaire even without owning a single crypto. Besides, he is a well known Dogecoin fan that's why he only got .25 btc .

You can never be sure about his statements. I recall a tweet saying that Tesla's stock price is expensive. Can you trust such a guy? Was he sober?

How the heck can you believe on what he tweeted. Why will anyone reveal the actual amount on a public forum when the world knows never to reveal your holding.

He is playing mind games with the community as he has done in the past and there are members here who believe those tweets. Those are bunch of lies he tweeted.

Well, we can take his words to be the truth, or we can speculate that he is just hiding whatever Bitcoin he is holding. In the world of business and investing, there are many ways one can own something without really technically owning it. Now, if the man is telling the truth then maybe he is not really convinced that he needs Bitcoin or as one poster here is speculating the man just does not need Bitcoin as he has many other business interests being pursued. Still, the industry and community owed this man some thanks as he is a known supporter and promoter of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general.

Elon musk claiming he have 0.25 bitcoins is strange. Atleast he admitted of possessing bitcoins. That would make him poorer than myself. Elon is a intelligent person and a tech enthusiast. Has talked about bitcoin and Ethereum on several occasions. It would not be a surprise if he's saying he have 0.25% of all bitcoins.

He twitted that amount too last Feb. 2019 and yet he still hold the same amount. Hmm. Probably, he wants to remain lowkey spite of being popular so that people wouldn't go crazy that he holds a lot of amount. Btw, here's the tweet that he made last year. He said that it's just a gift from a friend.

Maybe he's also saying the truth but he's knowledgeable about it.

And in bitcoin community, it's not really required to tell how much you have.

Elon Musk has a special sense of humor, and he often said provocative things about cryptos before. It might be another joke of his, I don't know. Or perhaps he personally owns just 0.25 BTC but his relative/company owns way more... It could be that 0.25 is all he has, though. This guy is a typical trickster, IMO. Even now, saying that he owns only 0.25 BTC, he made the news because of telling Rowling that Bitcoin 'looks solid' in comparison with fiat, basically (see here). But in the same sentence he called bitcoin 'internet ghost money' which might be offensive. He keeps his crypto opinions well-balanced, so his neither a supporter nor an opposer in the end.

What is strange though? we really don't know if he is a crypto investors or just joining the bandwagon.

For us, its really hard to believed that a billionaire like Elon will have < 1 BTC, but hey, who I'm I to judge this guy? For all we know, he may have stash more BTC but he just want to keep it quiet because maybe some of his friends are going to bash him for investing on crypto. We really can't say for certain, but it doesn't bother me at all.

Elon Musk can buy a lot of btc at any time but it seems that he is not interested in it.

Most of his wealth is in the form of Tesla and SpaceX stocks.The Tesla stocks were pretty volatile a few months ago.If he sells some stocks just to buy a large amount of BTC,the stock prices of his companies might collapse.
A guy like Elon Musk likes to build things-automobiles and rockets.Buying a cryptocurrency just for the sake of speculation and trading profits isn't in his style.Even though he has some interest around Bitcoin,he is the co-founder of PayPal(even though he sold his shares).I think that PayPal can be considered as Bitcoin's archenemy.
