Its fun to look back. 3 years ago today was the legendary UNO pump by Wolong. That one sent me on a nice holiday.
Look at the other coins in that list. 3 years later, UNO is way more valuable than Maxcoin; Astrocoin is dead; Bitgem is on life support and not expected to live; and for all its innovation and its ecosystem, Blakecoin is worth 1/10th of UNO.
It has NOT been easy to keep the UNO alive and generally healthy, now into it's 4th year.
Its been because of this community, who keep coming back.
I am still bullish on UNO. We need to re-tell the story of UNO. We've lived it, and being so close to it you forget just how unique UNO is to even be here, with a dev, traded on exchanges, with hundreds of terrabytes of mining hash.
I'll be honest... I've not been buying UNO, mostly because of the Cryptsy wallet. I really believe when that situation is settled, you won't be able to keep UNO down.
I would like to see UNO valued at about $5/un, that would give us a respectable marketcap in USD of about $1m.
I'm open to ideas and action for making UNO more valuable. What give you an incentive to start moving UNO up? What keeps you from buying more? What use cases can we combine with UNO's unique low inflation and rarity characteristics to make it more valuable?
I think I can speak for many of us in that It is the cryptsy coin preventing us from moving uno up and buying more, although i am still passively buying a bit here and their. Once that is all said and over i would expect to see people who have been sitting on the sideline stocking up a huge pile of BTC dumping into it. As for use cases I would really love to see more people start advertising it in real life with poster... etc..
I think it might be a good idea to not advertise UNO as just another Altcoin but as an independent cryptocurrency,if we could find a way to make UNO purchasable without going directly through Bitcoin but direct from FIAT>UNO i think that would do us a world of good.
Once the summer comes around I'm going to post some ads on craigslist/kijiji looking to sell/buy Uno and i will also put more posters up around town, Would be cool to see others do this as-well.
