.. on the other hand maybe we can use them as a tool to fund developement? Just give lots of Proto to Blazr2 and whenever you feel like donating to him you just put a buyorder at the Proto market up. This way donations for developement do not put sellpressure on the Uno market which would be an advantage. Just keep in mind: Proto shoud be free... Putting a higher price on it than 'free' is risky - but probably fun for pocketchange. Probably going to stay a tiny market floating on 10$ total buysupport.

I agree wholeheartdly that testnet coins should not be used as an independent market, but for actual development(tm).

The whole testnet thing is stupid. It was a nice idea, but it turns out that idea wasn't the best. Anyone who could utilize the testnet doesn't need a testnet wallet and the branding. It wasn't like there was new suite created with tools for the average joe to use the testnet to innovate and experiment with and such. The wallet just creates more ambiguity about things. It is what ever. You try not to shit too much on those who are making contributions, but sometimes creating something just for the sake of creating something isn't progress. Art perhaps, but nothing useful to a majority of the end users. I really only think there are like 3 to 5 people here who are able to even understand the testnet and what it is all about and i am surely not one of them.

At one point in time asbestos was new and i am sure a lot of people thought it was awesome. Just because something is new or different doesn't make it good. It needed a lot more work than just creating a wallet so that people could mine the chain. Because really, what good does that do for anyone? Oh look guys, i created a way for you guys to mine the testnet. Thanks?! Like wtf is the point of it? It was never launched with any documentation explaining what the testnet is and does and why we should all be so hyped for it. More like an italian grandmother guilt trip, i thought you guys would like it, sorry for even trying. Bah, i am a wee bit tipsy atm and feeling rowdy as hell.

At this point in time i really don't care. Uno became what it is, and will become what it will be, regardless of Blaz's further contributions. It is nice to have him back and helping but if people are too worried that they might scare him off with negative feedback than they are just as useless as a wallet that helps people mine the testnet. Thanks but i dunno, maybe there is another different cool idea you have? Does having the testnet readily open for mining help those who can actually use the testnet in anyway. I just never understood why i should have been excited for it. Just more bs to deal with. K.I.S.S

@ testnet: besides primary case use (testnet/dev fund raiser), secondary use is keeping a small amount of value. Why? New users can pull 'free' proto from the faucets then 'test' trade up to UNO, in my opinion, a great way to initiate new members, the extra effort required tends to capture long term holders and filter out the fickle types.  What price?  It's a free market so let it decide, but advise risking only grams at a time, no more than that.
