I actually do know the difference and still try to use it but let me tell you now that most people do not care and it is okay:)
Most people don't care about putting a capital letter at the beginning of their sentences or finishing them with a full stop. But still, some might find it interesting to know the difference.
For example, do you know whether it should be "the internet" or just "internet" or even "Internet"?
I think it's similar to Bitcoin. The capital letter refers to the technology. I would have to look up what a non-capitalized letter in 'internet' means though. Most people wont care about that either anyways

me too. I did learn about the difference but when I write I no longer really think,,, but I see definitely for example some big media still insist on using only small letter b for Bitcoin even when referring to the network.
In the end,,, as I explained, some circumstances always use B. All markets use capital B even though it is actually referring to "coins" not network. See this article, over the years, Internet slowly became internet:)
