Alt will come and go. Almost all are scams or imitators, not decentralized, and with nowhere near the security and infrastructure of BTC. Various alts will come and go, pump and dump etc as BTC's slow but sure momentum continues. Think of BTC as the planet, and then various life-forms coming and going over time, growing on BTC's market cap at the core. We all love to bet on alts, but every cycle the lesson is learned again, and BTC continues to thrive and grow...

The question is, can you hold bitcoin until it reaches 1 million dollars, bitcoin reaching 1 million dollars is possible but it will take too much time or many years before it happens, so the best thing to do now is to start saving your money and invest it in bitcoin, we might see bitcoin at 1 million dollars and if that would happen then that is a huge profit.

Well, to be realistic, that's really a tough question to answer, in my case, I might be tempted to sell when bitcoin reaches $100,000.. problem is I don't have 1 bitcoin now, probably I just wait until the market will correct then I will start to accumulate and hold again for the next bull run.

I won't do anything since I already moved from Bitcoins to altcoin ever since Bitcoin surges since I feel that Bitcoin growth percentage would be very slow in the future, but if ever I have BTC and it hits $1m, I would definitely cash out since the target goal was reached.  It would be a hypocrite of me if I say I will still hodl.

I don't think that is a good move, bitcoin price is very volatile and it can be hit on that price and I guess altcoins price movement will follow to bitcoin price. Moving your investment from bitcoin to altcoin will I guess having regret in the future.

But you have a point if the price will hit $1m, I would also sell it and because for me that is too much and it could be folded my investments into how many times. But I don't when that $1m prices will happen and we hope that we came across with that too much high price and we can able to accumulate more.

There's no impossible with bitcoin because the market is volatile every time there are people who keep supporting this coin take advantage to get profit. I think only strong holders are the me who survive this bitcoin price rare as OP tells about I guess it took more than five years before it happens but again no one knows its better as early as possible if we might grab a chance as possible to hold so for the next coming years we have a good outcome.

As for me though, I will definitely sell some part of my Bitcoin after all, that was why I invested in bitcoin to make money and this is been achieved by this remarkable price of $1m  certainly taking some profits and continue to hodl some for a long period because you must have some sort of taking profits while you invest and not plane to hodl forever.

I still cant believe we are so close to 60k mark. 1 million isnt even a pipe dream anymore. All it takes is a couple of rallies which are bound to happen in the next couple of years. The question is, how much of a bearish impact will there be..if an individual country with high no. of traders try to ban it. Like potentially China and India. There always have been bans from those countries but never an official statement given against it.

Anything can happen to bitcoin because the current price of bitcoin is beyond expectations which can reach more than 60K, and everything will go through a very long process and time.
And if I am still alive and can enjoy the bitcoin price of up to $ 1 million I will fulfill my wishes and my family according to the bitcoin I have, and if that is true I will prepare from now on not to spend it when the price of bitcoin continues to increase, because when the price is bitcoin is on the rise and continues to rise so the temptation to sell must be there because it already has a very large profit.
and a situation like this is difficult to avoid because it is feared that the price of bitcoin will fall again.
