Distribute the seed over several plates:
Here's Sam00's idea, here you spread your seed over 3 plates and hide each one separately, and if one is found by an unauthorized person, everything is still safe since you need two out of three plates.

Plate 1: words 1-8 and 17-24
Plate 2: Words 9-15 and 17-24
Plate 3: Words 1-8 and 9-15
